I can't have any type of milk, because I am milk intolerant. This means: if I eat or drink milk, I blow up like a balloon and experience pain.
Not so much fun 🙂
That is why after a long time of eating greek yogurt for breakfast, I had to switch to something milk-free.
Introducing my success breakfast: Oats + Egg + Fruit!
40 grams of oats
+ 1 raw egg
+ 180 ml of water
+ a pinch of salt
Smash it all together.
Heat in the microwave for 2 minutes at a time, stirring inbetween until it has a thick enough ‘non muddy' texture.
Then, add your fruit of preference.
My preference goes out to all berry-types of fruit, because they feel good for my body.
I like adding blueberries, raspberries and strawberries.
Toss it all together and ‘mix it' before you start eating it so everything has the same temperature. I don't mean actually mixing it, more just tossing it all over each other so every bite will give you both fruit as well as oats.
So.
Is this a super high protein breakfast?
Nope.
Does it work for me?
Yep.
When building your success meals, it's important to look for convenience and long-term success. Yes, a little bit more high protein would be better. But at least this is something I can enjoy, don't have to think about and can stick to!
